As summer rolls around once again, we are all looking forward to spending our weekends dancing in fields dressed up and sparkling but there is a side to this that we should all be aware of and making a personal effort to prevent.
We need to protect the planet from further pollution damage but unfortunately a huge by-product of festivals is waste – particularly plastics. We are actively trying do everything we can to minimise and reverse the harm that plastic has caused over the decades.
Micro plastics like glitter will take hundreds of years to decompose and because of its size glitter often ends up in our ecosystem. With this in mind, we have found a suitable alternative that means we can continue to enjoy sparkly Shindig fun but is kinder to the environment.
Biodegradable glitter is made from a certified biodegradable cellulose film. This means that once it has been used, it will safely biodegrade, causing no harm to our beautiful farm or its inhabitants.
We’re very passionate about reducing plastic pollution, so biodegradable glitter is the only option for Shindig Weekender.
