Welcoming and directing campers to less congested areas of the site, keeping fire/access lanes clear, checking on amenities, giving out advice and directions, checking the general mood of the customers, interacting with customers, helping to create a happy vibrant atmosphere, reporting back any concerns/observations to supervisors and event management.
Traffic Management/Campervan field management/ Boutique Camping field management/Arena stewarding/Venue Stewarding/Gate management/ Liaising with Site Management /Wrist band check and accreditation/ Health and Safety lookout and fire marshal.

STEWARDING AND VOLUNTEERING:
1: PRIOR AND OR POST SHOW STEWARD: SET PRE SHOW Dates: 21st, 22nd and 23rd / 22nd 23rd 24th/ 23rd 24th & 28th of MAY 2018. /POST SHOW 28th/ 29th MAY.
2: SHOWTIME STEWARD: TWO SHIFTS OVER FOUR DAYS 22ND – 28TH MAY 2018.
3: LITTER CREW: SHOWTIMES AND POST SHOW.
PAID ROLES (EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)
4: PAID STEWARD MANAGEMENT/ ZONE MANAGER ROLE: WHOLE SHOW (TIME OF TO PARTY TOO).
5: PAID NIGHT SHIFT STEWARD: SHOWTIMES 22ND – 28TH ( EXPERIENCE REQUIRED).
6: ZONE MANAGER COORDINATORS: WHOLE SHOW (ALL WORK AND NO PLAY….WELL A LITTLE MAYBE!)
VOLUNTEER STEWARDS ARE REQUIRED TO WORK 16 HOURS OVER THE WEEKEND FOR ENTRY TICKET SPLIT OVER TWO OR FOUR SHIFTS…THEN VENTURE OUT TO THE PARTY.
PRE SHOW AND SHOWTIME STEWARDS NEED TO BE ONSITE BY 12 NOON ON THE GIVEN ARRIVAL DAY ( SEE ABOVE DATES) AND READY TO ATTEND THE MEETING AT 14:00 (YOU CAN ARRIVE EARLIER IF YOU WISH BUT NOT LATER THAN SPECIFIED TIMES AND DATES. Shifts are fixed and cannot be changed or pre-requested. We cannot guarantee you will be working with friends however we will try our hardest to make it happen for you.
As we grow bigger as an event, we are always on the look-out for reliable and experienced management to join our team, so if you’re interested in job opportunities within the Shindig fold then please specify on your application and we will look forward to meeting you for an interview when we have received your info.
All voluntary STEWARDS/LITTER CREW are required to pay a deposit for their ticket (£100) which we WILL reimburse after the event when you have completed your 16 hours STEWARDING, ARENA, VENUE, CAMPSITE, TRAFFIC OR CAR PARK, ACCREDITATION OR RUNNER ROLE.
- VOLUNTEER STEWARDS deposits will be paid back via BACS on Thursday 31st May 2018 ( as long as all shifts are completed)
- STEWARD CREW will have an allocated camping area on site. There are showers provided in the campsite.
- Crew food will be provided for your steward shift.
- We will be in touch in April with your welcome pack. This will contain all the information you will need with directions and where to head on arrival.
